Who we are
YAKKI EDU ("YAKKI", "we") develops an AI-assisted platform for learning English as a foreign language, designed for schools and individual learners in Israel. This policy covers this website (api.yakki.app) and outlines how the YAKKI EDU application handles data.
Data we collect on this website
- No tracking by default. This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
- Server logs. Our web server records standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and reliability. Logs are rotated and not used for profiling.
- Contact requests. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send. We use it only to respond to you.
Data in the YAKKI EDU application
- The application is currently distributed to pilot participants and partner schools, not to the general public.
- Learner accounts are created by teachers or administrators, not by open self-registration.
- Learning data (exercise results, progress) is used to adapt content for the learner and to give teachers insight into class progress.
- Texts generated for exercises are produced by AI models from teacher-selected topics; learner free-text answers may be evaluated by AI models for feedback.
- We do not sell personal data. We do not use learner data for advertising.
Children and student data
YAKKI is built for school use. Where the platform is used by minors, it is deployed through schools and pilot agreements that define the school as the data controller for student records. We act according to those agreements and applicable Israeli privacy law (Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its amendments).
Data retention and deletion
Pilot and school data is retained for the duration of the agreement and deleted or anonymized on request of the partner institution. To request deletion of contact correspondence, email us.
